There are many ways to share, experience, and live out your Catholic faith at George Washington University.  Here are some of the ways we engage, encourage, and empower students to be Catholic on Campus. 



  • Tuesday Night Dinners
  • Tuesday Night Speaker Series ( 3-4 Guest speakers per semester)
  • Food After Mass (Every other Sunday at St. Stephen Martyr)
  • Friday Fun Nights
  • Volleyball at the Lincoln Memorial
  • White water rafting
  • Holiday Parties
  • Movie Nights

Small group studies

  • FOCUS Missionaries offer Catholic faith-based studies to help undergraduate students grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, and develop a better understanding of the teachings of the Catholic faith. 
  • FOCUS GREEK Bible Studies
  • FOCUS Athlete Bible Studies
  • Graduate Students are invited to participate in a bible study geared toward their age group with two Dominican Brothers on Monday evenings. 



  • Daily Mass every weekday at 6pm
  • Daily Eucharistic Adoration every weekday from 4-6pm
  • Spiritual Espresso Thursday Morning Prayer 8:45am
  • Confession available Tuesday - Friday from 4-6pm


ServicE & Advocacy

  • Saturday Service with the Missionaries of Charity, the Servants of the Lord Sisters, or Little Sisters of the Poor.
  • FOCUS Mission Trips to Nicaragua, Yucatan, and Ireland
  • Annual Pro-Life Rally and March for Life 



Each semester GW Catholics offers a retreat to help students experience their Catholic faith in a deeper way.  

  • Fall Semester: The Father's House Retreat
  • Spring Retreat
  • FOCUS SEEK Conference (every other year with 12,000+ college students)
  • FOCUS SLS (Student Leadership Summit) (every other year, for students who desire to go deeper in their faith)
